Meet The Artisans
🧶 Khadija: The Keeper of the Loom
Textile Weaver | Atlas Mountains, Morocco
For Khadija, the rhythmic clack of the wooden loom is the soundtrack of her life. Nestled high in the Atlas Mountains, she has spent the last 32 years mastering an art form passed down directly from her father. In her village, weaving is not just a trade; it is a vital form of storytelling.
Khadija oversees the intricate creation of our hand-knotted rugs and cactus silk textiles. Her process begins long before the weaving starts—she insists on using hand-spun wool and foraging for local roots, flowers, and spices to create the vibrant, 100% natural vegetable dyes that give her pieces their signature warmth. Every symbol she weaves into the fabric carries a specific meaning, from protection to prosperity. When you bring one of Khadija’s pieces into your home, you are preserving decades of deeply rooted Moroccan heritage.

His workshop is responsible for the meticulous hand-stitching of our signature leather bags and traditional floor poufs. From selecting the most durable, ethically sourced hides to the final, precise stitch of the embroidery, Abdel’s exacting standards mean that every single leather good designed in his shop is built to last a lifetime, aging beautifully alongside you.
🌿 Fatima & The Weavers: Weaving a Better Future
Basketry & Raffia Artisans | Marrakech, Morocco
What started 12 years ago as a small gathering of women has blossomed into a thriving, empowering cooperative led by Fatima. Dedicated to the art of basketry, Fatima and her team of female artisans transform raw, locally harvested palm leaves (known as doum) and natural raffia into functional works of art.
This cooperative is the heartbeat behind our woven rattan bags, straw totes, and intricate raffia lamps. For Fatima, this work is about much more than creating beautiful home goods—it is about economic independence. By utilizing sustainable, eco-friendly harvesting techniques that protect the local palm groves, these talented women are able to secure fair wages, support their families, and fund education for their children. Their shared laughter and community spirit are woven into the very fibers of every piece they create.
