Wholesale Moroccan Home Decor
Mogadoro is not a wholesaler. We are the workshops. Every piece we sell to a stockist is cut, woven, stitched or knotted by people we work with directly in Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains, and ships from our own warehouse in Marrakech.
Are you a manufacturer or a distributor?
A manufacturer. Most wholesale home decor suppliers are importers: they buy a container, warehouse it, and resell it. We make the goods. Abdel and his team cut and stitch the leather poufs and bags. Fatima's cooperative, a group of women who have been weaving together for twelve years, makes the straw baskets and totes. Khadija has been knotting Beni Ourain rugs for thirty-two years, on a loom her father taught her to use.
That matters to a buyer for three reasons. Your margin is not carrying somebody else's. Custom sizes and colourways are a conversation with the maker rather than a dead end. And the story you tell your own customers is a true one, with names in it.
Who do you work with?
Independent boutiques and home stores. Interior designers specifying for clients. Hotels, riads and short-let properties furnishing rooms. Gift shops, galleries and museum stores. We are a good fit for small businesses in particular: the minimum order is low enough to test a range without committing to a container.
What is the minimum order for wholesale?
The minimum order is $200. There is no minimum per style, so you can spread it across the range to see what sells rather than committing to depth in one piece.
What is the trade discount?
Trade accounts buying for their own projects — interior designers, hotels, riads and short-let properties — are discounted on the order total:
- $200 and over — 15% off retail
- $1,000 and over — 20% off retail
- $2,500 and over — 25% off retail
The band applies to the whole order rather than only the amount above the threshold, so an order that reaches $1,000 is discounted at 20% throughout.
If you are buying to resell — a boutique, home store, gift shop or gallery — say so when you apply and we will quote resale pricing instead. A shop needs room to make its own margin on top, so that rate is set separately from the trade discount above rather than taken from the same table.
How long does a wholesale order take?
Preparation takes 8 to 10 days for most orders. If your order includes a rug, allow 2 to 4 weeks, because our rugs are knotted to order rather than taken from stock.
Do you ship wholesale orders internationally?
Yes, to nineteen countries. Shipping follows our standard rates, which means free delivery on orders over $150 — and since the wholesale minimum is $200, trade orders ship free. Transit is 5 to 8 business days to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe, and 7 to 14 to Australia and New Zealand, tracked with DHL or FedEx.
What is the returns policy on wholesale orders?
Wholesale orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery. That is shorter than our retail policy, which runs to thirty days, so please check your delivery in promptly.
How do I open a wholesale account?
Email hello@mogadoro.com with your business details: company name, registered address, website or social presence, and the type of business you run. Tell us roughly what you are looking for and we will send trade pricing and a line sheet for the ranges that fit.
We review every application by hand. It is usually a short conversation rather than a form, and we would rather place our work with twenty shops that care about it than two hundred that do not.
Can you make custom sizes or colours?
Usually yes. Because we own the workshops, custom dimensions and colourways are a conversation with the maker. Rugs in particular are woven to order in any size, from 2x3 feet up to a large room rug.
Can I order through Faire instead?
Yes. You can order directly from us once your account is open, which is the simplest route and keeps the relationship between you and the workshop. We also sell through Faire if you already buy there and prefer to keep your purchasing in one place.
What can I buy at wholesale?
Handmade Moroccan rugs, leather poufs and ottomans, straw bags and market baskets, raffia and palm lighting, pom pom blankets and Berber textiles. Because every piece is made by hand from natural materials, small variations in tone, weave and size are the signature of the maker rather than a defect, and they are worth saying out loud to your own customers.
